Everything's going well-arrive with no delays and then i find a shortcut to the ground That's only 400 yards from the station anyway! Let's hope my luck holds for the game!

- Great result-now let’s get back to business! - It’s odd to feel we’re still bottom after a fighting win at Chester like today’s! I suppose it shows that the Chester game is something separate from reality. As I’ve suggested before, it’s a game which feels different from the others, a game where the usual rules of engagement don’t apply. Thankfully it fell in our favour and even if there is a sense of the Chester derby being unlike any other league game, those three points feel real enough to me! We rode our luck as Gavin Ward’s… Read Great result-now let’s get back to business! at Marks...
- Hang on! - But I just went to the pub by the ground and had the best pub meal ever! And good beer too! Maybe it will be our day. Or..whisper it..could it possibly be that my luck in finding decent grub and negotiating the underground smoothly has no bearing on the result? Nah! No real football fan would think that! Now where's that lucky codpiece? Better pop into the bog and make sure it's in place for kick off! Read Hang on! at Marks Wrexham FC Blog ...
- Louis Arrival to Drive Hope Out? - So how do you convince a player who you’re desperate to offload that he should walk away rather than sit on his contract and draw an extra year’s salary out of you? Well, you could always sign a player who has recently given him nightmares! I recall Jefferson Louis as a big, awkward target man, limited in movement but nontheless capable of bamboozling Richard Hope. Hope spent the game against Mansfield at The Racecourse trying to haul him to the floor in the box, incapable of finding another… Read Louis Arrival to Drive Hope Out? at Marks Wrexham FC...

- The Jones Enigma - Good luck to Mark Jones if his move to Peterborough materialises. There have been many disappointments over the last few years, but our failure to see the likes of Jones and Matty Done fulfil their potential with us is right up there. Jones developed from a frail youth into a fine goalscoring midfield, but then like a flash of gunpowder it was gone and a player who clearly depended on his confidence to perform fell into a self-fulfilling tailspin of poor form. You can see why John Toshack and… Read The Jones Enigma at Marks Wrexham FC Blog ...
- Taylor on Crutches - Seeing Neil Taylor on crutches after the game was a bit of a dampener after a good hard-fought three points. He’s going for an x-ray on his ankle and shin and Brian Little thought he could be out for a while. Let’s hope it’s not as bad as first feared, and let’s hope Carl Tremarco is alright as well. Admittedly in Mike Williams we have a player who can stand in admirably, but we’d have no cover for him. Maybe Brian will have to dip into the transfer market again-remember, one more new player… Read Taylor on Crutches at...
- Allen Shines Again - Having seen his superb debut on Tuesday it was interesting to ahve a second look at Joe Allen in the Wales-England Under-21 game tonight. Admittedly he came on with only about twenty minutes left, but again he showed enough spark, movement and intelligence to suggest he’s much too good for the Conference. Let’s hope we can keep him for a while longer; after all, the postponement of the Histon game robs us of his services for a match unless we can rearrange it while he’s still with us… Read Allen Shines Again at Marks Wrexham FC Blog ...
- A New Hope? - So Brett Sancho is on trial with us-the man whose main claim is having his dreadlocks yanked by Peter Crouch in the last World Cup! This article in “When Saturday Comes” gives us a persective on him from last November. Doesn’t sound too promising! Read A New Hope? at Marks Wrexham FC Blog ...
- A Wasted Day - There#s something no Wrexham fan got to see today-the inside of stadiummk. The question is why not? When Wrexham arrived at the ground at 1.20-about five minutes after me-they thought they were going to be playing a game. Can you believe this? When Borras Park Under 10s have their game called off I get a call in advance so I don’t have to take my lad to the park. Are we really to believe that MK Dons are less capable of organising themselves? Apparently half the pitch was frozen solid at… Read A Wasted Day at Marks Wrexham FC...
