Five wins out of five is certainly one hell of a start by , and although a couple of the recent performances ahve been scratchy, there’s no question that the Gaffer has made a fantastic impact on an ailing squad.

Indeed, he’s in with a shot of challenging the club record for most consecutive league wins in a row-three more wins would do it!

And frankly, if he made it I’d feel very confident that we’d be in a position to challenge for the title as we’d not only have terrific…

  • Spirit Wins The Day - As I’ve coughed up for a share of Myfc, I suppose I was bound to be satisfied with the result however it went yesterday! Ebbsfleet certainly played the better football, something which is happening too often this season for my liking, but apart from Long’s delivery from corners, which was terrific, the final ball wasn’t as good as the excellent approach play. In fact according to my notes from commentary the only two chances which didn’t come from set pieces were down to glaring defensive… Read Spirit Wins The Day at Marks Wrexham FC Blog ...

  • Hurry Back! - Last Saturday left me feeling more confident about our survival than I have for some time, but the Faustian pact Brian Little struck to haul us out of trouble might still come back to haunt us. The win over Bury was patchy at times, I admit; at 1-1 Bury looked the more likely winners for me. However, we stuck it out and earned three points in difficult circumstances which, frankly, is something we haven’t done often of late. Furthermore, although the teams above us continued their annoying… Read Hurry Back! at Marks Wrexham FC Blog ...
  • A Strangely Empty Feeling - Am I spoilt already? Four league wins on the spin and I’m sated enough to feel a little disappointed by a comfortable home win! Beating Lewes 2-0 was a bit like beating Kerry Catona in an elocution contest. It was no more than what was expected, and perhaps we should have done better. After all, we failed to score past them in open play, and I’ll bet not many sides can say that so far this season! Not that we didn’t have the opportunities of course. • Great result-now let’s get back to business! - It’s odd to feel we’re still bottom after a fighting win at Chester like today’s! I suppose it shows that the Chester game is something separate from reality. As I’ve suggested before, it’s a game which feels different from the others, a game where the usual rules of engagement don’t apply. Thankfully it fell in our favour and even if there is a sense of the Chester derby being unlike any other league game, those three points feel real enough to me!
